When you use our Site, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Screen for potential risk and fraud.

  • Improve and optimize our Site’s performance.

  • Plaid processes personal data directly, and we only receive a pass/fail verification result, which we retain temporarily (see Section 9).

  • Plaid’s use of your data is governed by Plaid’s Privacy Policy.

2. Sharing Your Personal Information with Third Parties

We may share limited information with trusted service providers (“Service Providers”) who support our operations, including:

  • Hosting our Site (Squarespace).

  • Sending email or SMS communications (Google, Mailchimp, etc.).

  • Managing registries and donations through third-party platforms (Amazon, GoFundMe, etc.).

  • Identity verification (Plaid).

We do not sell or trade personal information.

  • To comply with legal obligations or law enforcement requests.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Pass/Fail Verification Results (from Plaid): Retained for up to 12 months, or deleted sooner upon request.

  • Registry Information: Retained only while a registry remains active or as legally required.

  • Contact & Donor Communications: Retained as long as reasonably necessary for transparency and service delivery.

  • Personal Data Processed by Plaid: Not stored or retained by us.

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 12).

5. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that information from a minor has been submitted, we will delete it.

If you no longer wish to receive updates or marketing emails, you may click the “unsubscribe” link in any email or contact us directly. Please note that we may still send essential service-related messages.
