Texas Flood Relief Registries

Why a Registry?
-
We help first responders, local organizations, and families in need set up Amazon registries for essential supplies during emergencies. Each registry is created and controlled by the recipients, so items are shipped directly to them, without any middleman or work on the donor’s part to figure out where to send items. Our platform brings all verified registries into one place, making it easier for donors to browse, share, and support multiple efforts. It also allows us to feature and promote urgent needs in real time to our network and communities, helping supplies reach the right people as quickly as possible.
-
Every item purchased through one of our promoted, verified, registries is sent directly to the recipient at no added cost to you (and no cost to them whatsoever). We never mark up prices, charge service fees, or take a cut of donated funds. This system ensures 100% of your support goes exactly where it’s needed, nothing withheld, nothing redirected.
-
Our platform is designed to be easy to use, mobile-friendly, and accessible to both donors and those requesting support. We make it simple to create or find a registry, and we provide clear information about how every part of the process works. Our goal is to remove barriers, help people know exactly where their donations are going, and provide practical tools that help real people get what they need, fast, directly, and with clarity.
-
Traditional supply drives often result in well-meaning but mismatched donations like duplicate items, expired goods, or things that simply aren't needed, while critical supplies go overlooked. By using registries, each organization or family can request exactly what they need, in the right quantities, and update those needs in real time.
This approach dramatically reduces waste and ensures that every contribution counts. When donations come in from outside Amazon (such as from local suppliers or personal deliveries), recipients can manually mark items as “received” on their registry to avoid duplication. It’s a more precise, intentional way to give, and it’s proven to be far more effective in actual disaster response scenarios.
-
The needs of families don’t end when the headlines fade. Registries allow families and community organizations to continue receiving support long after the initial emergency. They can request household items, clothing, or essentials as they transition from short-term relief to rebuilding.
This system ensures that donated funds, whether from grants, mutual aid, or other sources, can be used for non-material needs like medical bills, rent, or home repairs, while the basics are covered through direct supply donations. It’s a simple but powerful way to support long-term recovery in a transparent and person-centered way.

Contribute to active Amazon registries for local responders, nonprofits, and families affected by the floods.
Each registry is created by the people and groups doing the work, and organizer contacts will be provided alongside registries.
When you purchase from a registry, Amazon ships directly to the verified address selected by the recipient. Please make sure the correct shipping address is selected at checkout (it should appear as pre-selected when the registry opens).
Registries are updated in real time based on feedback from the field, and items are sorted by priority:
Urgent: Needed immediately for safety, operations, or basic living
High: Not essential to function, but critical for continuity or care
Moderate: Can wait briefly, but still necessary
Not Urgent: Will improve recovery and rebuild, but not time-sensitive
Every contribution helps bridge a gap and ensures the right supplies reach the right people at the right time.
